Dear all,

GWS Cap & Boonie hat are available in GWS HQ & GWS USA.

They are available now.

I think these 2 are the very good choice for RC players.

Please check with GWS dealers. If you can not find it. Please let us know.

hmm, maybe there should be a manual for them.

GWS Cap

l With removable neck guard to protect your neck from sunburn or mosquito

What is this? How do is work?

GWS Boonie Hat
l With 2 holes on both side

What are these for?

l Adjustable chinstrap

How does it adjust?

l Snaps up on the sides

Hu?

l 3 different sizes

SM, M, L ?

It probably be funny if GWS wrote a manual for there hats.

No...its not old news. It is still very much alive and should be kept alive. Lockheed is and Boeing are the most notorious offenders and need to be distanced from the toy amd model manufacturers are far as their greedy, grubby mitts can be. OK...so they made great airplanes...they were paid handsomely for them too...THAT is where it should end.

I agree, but it was a bill introduced almost 2 years ago. It's old news, most everybody who is anybody in the model business knows about it, and it has be very widely publicized. The only difference now is it's a stand-alone bill because it failed as part of the defense bill.

Is the notch on the front/top for the set screw to hold it onto the mount stick?

But what are the extra tabs for on the back/side of it?

What is the maximum diameter motor that can fit it?

Hi Chris,

notch -- for the screws.

the tabs -- Cable recess or cable guide or cable aperture (helped by Roger Lombard)
--- Let the wire to go through, I think if you do not need. it is very easy for you to remove it.

Just curious... isn't the motor (prop) shaft positioned too low on a mount like that? Imagine the location of the motor (prop) shaft on a GWS 350 geared system. It's higher. Almost at the stick location. So... short of cutting up a GWS plane to reposition the stick mount... how will these work?

What you said is true.

It is a matter of how flyers use it - gear drive or direct drive.

I think it will work.
