For some reason my Slow Stick suddenly lost ALL THRUST midflight, forcing me to set her down......I can't figure out what happened. Watch the video and see if you can help me determine exactly when I lost power and what happened.......

Not sure if Im seeing the bottom of the motor or some other eq but the vibration seemed pretty strong until the prop flew away.

Did you find the prop or did it make it to the river.

What video setup have you got on there btw? Looks like it might be a wireless camera of some sort, yes?

Yes, the reason it flew off was because the shaft was slightly bent from an earlier impact. This was the first flight since the impact.

It's a Blackwidow 600 mw transmitter and KX131 camera. I am using Blackwidow's Diversity receiver with two 14 db patch antennas.

Nice video.

Mmm I thought it was probably a BW set. Cripes that must have been one expensive purchase to get the diversity receiver as well!! How much did you pay for the whole wireless camera setup? Also, where did you get your microphone from?

I've lost track of how much this stuff costs......I believe I've spent somewhere around $1750 on this Slow Stick with all the ancillary equipment. (Microphone came with the "ready-to-fly" setup from BW)

Simply awesome! Just flew on its merry way! I had that happen once on my SS. I was a bunch higher though (399 feet...NOT!, we were guessin in the 1800'). I had brake enabled forr some reason and when the motor stopped, the prop flew off just like yours did. It took 5 minutes to land...

That's my new favourite video. Nice save.
