Looks really cool. This is the first time I have seen an in-air adjustable pitch prop for a parkie that is commercially available.

They used a hollow shaft on the axi for the control rod to set the pitch at the prop hub. Very cool.

prob is to start using it you have to get a pitchable servo too!

Why

The one I saw used a throttle/pitch curve like a heli .. one for starting off and another curve for 3d

No. If you reverse the pitch, then the thrust reverses. That's what makes it so cool. Instant reverse. The ESC stays at full throttle the whole time.

One of the recent issues of Quiet Flyer showed several of these systems and how they worked. Apparently you can do some really neat tricks with them. It's really neat to see that they are starting to be sold.

What power servo is needed? The previous controllable pitch props that have been on the market needed servos stronger than what was standard size at the time. Although a lot of indoor rubber powered flyers have some nice "Constant Speed" self adjusting propellors.

I saw the guy fly with it and win the ETOC at Toledo last weekend. It is MOST impressive as it opens up a whole new dimension of flying. I'm sure most have seen it in action already but it was a first for me.

It's a bit costly but I just tried mine out and it works great. It really does add a new dimension to aerobatics. I just have to build a lighter plane for it. I have mine attached to a modified eflight 370 outrunner on an Apex EPP foamy with a lot of epoxy (repairs). Here's how it looks:
