I've had a lot of "crap boxes". Heck! I think that every RC flier should have at least one "crap box". I even have one I might be willing to sell cheap. I crashed it, and learned something, every time I flew it! Mostly? I just learned it's a "crap box" but someone else might get a more valuable lesson.

I hear ya, BJ. I'm pretty old but "old people" still don't make much sense to me. I love all the ARFs and, if one gets a really bad one, one can blame it on "them" instead of thinking one has been found wanting.

My point is that we used to be stuck with our planes because we had so much invested in them but nowadays we can just try a different airframe, with minimal investment, if things don't work out. like most things in life; that is both good and bad.

I have two crap boxes, they do most of the flying!

I must say though, it hurts a lot more when you bust something that you slaved over to hand-build - the longer & more intricate the process, the stronger the pain.

Having said that, even dirt-napping a cheapie RTF still sucks.

I get all protective about something new I'm flying - want to keep it all shiny and dent-free etc. And I guess I usually fly accordingly - like an old mother hen.

Once I've put the odd 'scar of honour' on it, I tend to relax more and fly the darn thing - and it's funny how much better you fly when you're just "flying" as opposed to "protecting".

Anyhoo, I'm drifting off topic a bit too much now.

Hi guys,
BJ, Thanks very much for going to the trouble to post your spoileron settings, I shall program them into the box, and take it from there, much appreciated.
The dlux 11 turned up today, very basic data logging, deffinatly not a true data logger by any means, but then it is cheap!
As long as it soft starts!
I will hook it up to my skywalker tomorrow, it draws a fair few amps on three or four cells, so will make a good test motor.
Still no motor or box

Hi guys,
Sorry BJ, It was late and I rushed the post a little.
I shouls have wrote " the logger only gives max and min volts, max amps. a basic temp" so it does not supply sample data from throughout the flight, or in a graph format. Any way I will see if it is of much use, plus to access looks like a pain, as only way to access is to un- plug from Rx, will see if I can set-up a Y-style plug for access.
Anyway I am going to give it a quick test to day, let you know,
