Did a little float flying at the lake yesterday because it was just too beautiful and calm out not to!

Great job. You should post it, with specs on the GWS pylo racing thread .

Nice work on the paint job!
Also like the wheels much better than the stock ones. Looks like the same ones I used:

Thanks N8, I like the look of yours too. The stock wheels just don't cut it for the grass field I fly off of so I swapped them out. My son is enjoying the heck (and so am I) out of this bird. The paint job is actually based on the Cessna 150 my dad owned growing up...lots of memories of that bird.

Be careful what you ask for...

It just might have an EDF 75 pod on top and a v-tail.

Would it then be called a V-Starter?

All kidding aside, Why not attach two edf55 A-10 shrouds under the wings and carve a new nose out of a block of white styrofoam? You could also just buy the Islander edf twin too.

I will ask for a 48" span Honda Jet! That would be cool and I can wait a week or so...

my corsair

heres my F4U...

glassed with .75oz.+wbpu , painted with acryl, decals by pyramid in the UK,
sealed with wpbu.
not sure if the gear will go on, will keep that option open.

KA 22-20L
mystery 30A esc
modelcraft radio gear. tower pro servos on rudder and elevators, no name 4.5gr. servos in the wings, if they blow, ill upgrade with bluebirds...
maiden soon!

BTW, it would be very cool if instead of 3 sets of U.S. decals for the corsair, gws could swap in a set of allied decals....just a thought..

i did indeed!
i made my own for my super cub, the set i put on my corsair i bought custom from pyramid models. they have alot of great sets pre-scaled for GWS birds. i was thinking about getting a set of FAA corsair (lt. hammy gray version) custom scaled and printed from canmilair decals
http://www.canmilair.com/products.asp?cat=31

but they are a bit pricey....

heres a source for RAF stuff if anyones interested in printing their own....

Here's My EDF Islander..

Tried to get a 'scale' appearance, added twin wheels, internal steerable nosewheel but had to add 'non' scale fairing behind the fans to support the rear wheels. Overall I'm quite pleased, decals were made using CoralDraw/Paint, I've kept the file if anybody wants them. Hasn't flown yet due to high winds, just hope the stock motors and a 8.4v, 400 NiMH pack will be sufficient....

You need a bigger stronger battery or a 2 cell LiPo. Otherwise either your battery or your plane or both would have very very short life expectancy.
