I figured I'd throw my 2nd A-10 into the mix.

Rick,
Good looking A-10, I should have gone with the Razor back mouth.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Rick, I've always admired your A-10 scheme. Especially the warthog teeth!

Thanks for the encouraging complements guys! My first shot at freehanding something like that on a plane. I found a fine point water based pen and kept at it until it looked right. The water base made it easy to take a damp paper towel and wipe away the lines until It looked right. Then I took a ultrafine sharpie and drew in the lines that were to stay, and then just paint between the lines. Happy flying.

Well, since A-10's seem to be in season... Here is mine as well.

Wattage Retracts, original edf-50's (brushless and removable),
TP 1320 3S, 2 Phoenix 10's, and full weapons load plus full length
pilot (carved).

AUW = 16 oz. Flys like an A-10. Looks like an A-10.

A,

That's a beautiful A-10. I especially like the weapons load and pilot. How well do the Wattage retracts hold up?

Thanks Pat,

The wattage retracts are great (and no longer made )..
Wish I could buy a few more sets.

The struts are rather soft and tend to bend with a good bounce. This absorbs most of the energy and saves the actual retracts. I have had
them in there since day one and she has seen a lot of airtime.

The motor pods are also removable and each has a hatch for fan removal
as well. The EDF-50 is held in with allen screws from the bottom.

I see that you are running cc 10's, did you change the settings on the ESc's? If so what did you set them to? I haven't maiden as yet.

Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary,

First, one question... Are you running the EDF-50 or EDF-55 version?
Regarding the CC P-10's, Nothing special. I use the Phoenix "Link" USB
adapter to set them up. Just make sure they are both the same
firmware revision (usually the case if purchased at the same time).

I went for durable vs. all out performance. I wanted a reliable and low
maintenance bird. The only thing I have ever replaced is one Thunder
Power Gen II pack with a Thunder Power "prolite" Gen III pack. Not
too bad for well over 100 flights. Very consistent and basic "charge
and fly" bird that always gets noticed. Twin EDF-50's make a sound
that is hard to describe. She sounds like you are stepping on TWO
cat's tails...

I bought the EDF-55's with Himaxx 2015-4100 the CC-10's came as a package deal from e-flightline.com. Just wondering what you programmed the cutoff for?

Before you fly it, find a watt meter and verify the amp draw A P-10 may
be a little light for the edf-55's on 3S (11.1V). I would put p-25's on
that setup just to make it stay lit.

I set the cutoff (LVC) to 9V on both (3S Lipo std.) and used a "Y" cable (including the power wire) to the rx. You might want to consider putting
the ESC's behind the motors for maximum cooling. It takes a little extra
wire but, Heat is a bad thing. I do not pull anywhere near 10A and mine
stay cool inside the fuse (verified).

A thermal shutdown on a P-10 is a bad thing. The A-10 does not fly
well without power to the RX.

We can continue this discussion via PM if you want... Just send me your
email address etc.

Just finished painting my GWS Corsair. I wanted to go with something different than the standard blue corsair and think I found it in Cook Clelands "Lucky Gallon". I had one heck of a time finding good documentation for this one. I think it will look great against the blue sky.
