Yup, Roger, we have a lot of peacocks around the resort. Every now and then some of them do stray on to the lawns as well. Never had a bird hit, though . Crazy coincidence that you should have them there too - it's not so surprising to see them here, it is our national bird, didn't you know?

Here are some pics of my recent Formosa (mk3). Love this plane and stiffening it up with CF really makes it groove and fly very precisely. Snaps and KE with the new rudder are much better. Actually, rolls and snaps now are blindingly fast. Will eventually try some 3D but having lots of fun now boring holes in the sky.

Has BP-18 motor, 850 ma 3 cell lipo, flies like it is on rails, goes straight up about 200 feet! Great plane! Weighs 12 oz. (339 grams) with landing gear and two servos. Used craft paint and brush, looks great!

refinished my c-130 airtanker...still needs a few more details but i thought i post these before i crashed her...i'll try to get another drop on vid next time out...

Was the groove for the carbon support on the wing deep enough for you?
I dry fitted it and it wasn't flushed down.
I made a deeper groove, but after putting some glue and press the tube down. It's bearly flushed... I guess it wasn't deep enough.

For you belly lander, do you put tape under the fuse/wing(LE)?

Here's my FW190 under construction. Best kit I've ever built, hope it flies as well as it went together.

First time I've had the airbrush out in a several years and it was fun to do a little painting.

Please send over the GWS girls so we can get some photos with them before the first flight.

I was led unto temptation by jamesdr - it's all his fault ( ) and even the name was his idea. This is my fairly ancient Formosa 1 (canopy courtesy of a P51D) but upgraded to a 200w motor. (TP 2409.12). This may well be tame stuff for some of you guys but for this grumpy old man it hauls this bird along entirely in keeping with its name "Bad News" (- travels fast - thanks Jim). In the photos it's fitted with one of the new 9050HD 3 bladers and while it flew OK with it things only got really exciting when I changed the prop to a 9075HD. In the (so far) only flight with the 9075 fitted I had more per minute than pretty much anything I've flown so far and a big when it returned in one piece. With the controls on high rate you could describe it as "responsive". As I've said I'm sure there are plenty who might find it still tame but for me it's mission accomplished - this is as fast as I want to go - at least so far.

I'm still unclear what the benefits - beyond aesthetics - are of the three bladed prop. I'm sure the new HD's are better than the old 9070SF three blader but apart from static looks what does it get me? Obviously the 9050 doesn't have the pitch speed of the 9075 two blader and I suspect that the difference was even greater than usual because the motor might have been turning slower driving three blades.

I've got a small stock of the new props in both 8" and 9" and I'll use them because on some planes just because they look good, but can they do anything for me in flight dynamics terms? Anyone out there got an observation?
