Thanks! that logo will be helpfull.

This is what I mean that it's not 100% scale but I will find out if C-130 flies with the Space Shuttle Columbia (piggybacks).

YOU SHOULD HAVE A RUDDER WORKING!!!! TAXING(I know you are not going to do this), FLYING THIS PLANE REALLY WANTS YOU TO FLY IT USING YOUR LEFT THUMB. COORDINATED TURNS IS WHAT C-130 LIKES.

did you cut the ailerons smaller? also you should get some ventilation to the motors since they get a little hot.

OK....

It wasenīt easy for my guys to get a good maidenvideo. In other words: "Blair Witch Project" is like looking at freeze frames compared to the camera skills of my buddy.

Anyway here it is: Found out she was a little tailheavy... So next time no landing gears at all and battery will have to move in to the lower compartement box which has about 1cm more space forward. (to bad... It fits so perfect into the upper one).

Flies and glides great.... Couldnīt finish the LiPo during maiden (~20min)

Ah....., and yes, I cut the ailerons smaller to save the wingtips from breaking... Just a stupid idea

Really nice video there -- makes me want to get one for myself!

Can you loop it? What about barrel rolls?

I know it's not scale, but it'd be fun.

You're using the stock motors, gearboxes (?), and props, right? Do you know how many amps you're drawing?

Nice video. That was a textbook hand launch. Really climbs out nicely on your power system. Nicely flown too. Post another video if you can. Was a pleasure watching this one.

Red,

I'm hoping to get some good video of mine this weekend. It will do loops, barrel rolls, inverted flight, all on the stock motors and 2S lipo. Very cool. One of the guys at my club who swore he would never fly floam will probably be buying one of these.

Thanks everybody.... The total draw of the four motors are somewhere close to 8 amps.....

Hereīs a short one of my A-10 (EDF55) brushless (same day, yesterday).

You can see how fast on one side and how slow on the other side you can fly her... And you can almost hover her (would probably work if one fan would be on the top and one would be underneath the wing.... Bad for landing, though).

And a last one for this month:
My personal favourite "slow"-flyer DHC2.....With a funny ending.... Enjoy

C-130 Shot Down

So I was flying my Cargotrans this morning, and between three of us, we had channels 19 (me), 20 and 21 active at the same time (we gotta not do that again). I came in for a low flyby, and wound up losing all control right in front of the flightline.

All motors shut down, and she went into a death spiral, I had no control. Fortunately, I was only about 15' up when it happened, and the spiral softened the blow. All I had was a cracked wing, and a slightly damaged fuse. All is back together again, and the electronics all check out. Disaster averted.

And this was after two other fiascos earlier this morning. On the first launch attempt, I had accidentally put a 3S lipo in it instead of a 2S lipo (that's what I get for flying at 6:30am!). Went full throttle for takeoff, and immediately noticed that the engines seemed higher pitched than usual. A prop spun off at rotation (prop shaft separated from motor shaft) and she immediately did a left wingover and landed upside down.

So I CA'd the prop shaft back onto the motor, put in a 2S lipo and took off. Much better. However, during the flight, I lost the same prop again. Fortunately, I saw it happen and immediately killed the throttle and landed dead stick. No damage. But it then took me about 45 minutes of intense searching to find the prop. Found out that the CA did not penetrate to the motor shaft during the last repair. That issue has now been resolved.

This is one tough little bird.

Flying on adjacent channels has nothing to do with it. If you fly closer to other transmitters than you own, they can often swamp the signal sufficiently that it masks yours, and causes you to lose control momentarily (depending on the Rx in use)..

Never do a fly-by close to other pilots..

Good to know -- I'm guilty of doing that all the time... As a matter of fact, the guys I fly with like to "buzz" other pilots (me) to try to distract them (me)!
