My C-47

Just finished my C-47 this weekend. Need to get it balanced out.
Pretty much assembled stock out of the box, no mods.

P.S. I put the star/bar on the wrong wing

Rest of the GWS fleet

Wanted to show off the rest of the fleet. None of them has seen the air yet F4U and P-51 have Himax brushless, CC Phoenix 10 esc., Spit is stock with GWS 350. Gonna have some fun this Spring

I also have a bf-109 and A-10 on the shelf ready to be built. Bought the Himax BL setup from Eflight for the upgrade.

Please fly before the panther gets his prey!

I know this is quite a daunting task, but for the rest of us...if by chance the unweilding winds yield...let them be FREE!!!

Here's my new (first) P51. Covered with solite iron on film, powered by a BP21 and 3s 2000mah kokams. I love the way she flys.

How much flight time do you have on the cat and what kind of setup do you have on it?

She came pretty close to getting a chunck out of the 51, I was able to shush
her away before any major damage She was chasing the receiver antenna wire that was behind the 51

long winter in Germany- a new "spit" is born!

Hi friends!

I just have finished my GWS Spitfire. Spit-Nr 12 713 in that Thread?
I intented to build my Spit in the next winter season. But winter was very long, freezy and snowy here in Germany, so I decided to do the job now. That is GWS Nr. 3, that winter: Now I have a Corsair, a Mustang ( you saw it in this thread before) and the Spit.
By the way: Sometimes I write articles and reviews for the German modelflight-magazine "MFI" (which means "Modelflight International") and in one of the next issues, there will be an big article and a review about GWS-warbirds and Mr. Lin's GWS company.

The Spit is covered with tissue and lacquer. After having done the job, I took some Humbrol spray for the camouflage. You can only take these Humbrol sprays, when everything is covered with tissue on your model, because "Humbrol eats foam!" So please, take care! http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/newre...e=1&p=5227834#

Flying weight will be about 550 gr. with 1 pack/ 3piece 1500 mAh lipos on a "brushless bicycle bell ring motor set ".
To make the model a little bit stronger, I clued two carbon sticks into the fuselage. One on each side. Maidenflight will be, when that ugly winter will finally pass away, I hope, that will be soon! Everybody out there in that world or thread who is enjoying spring or summer should be happy person! Fly save and enjoy!

After looking through all 23 pages of this thread I'm torn between the Mustang and the Spitfire. It looks like the Mustang has a nicer finish and is more scale than the Spitfire. The Spitfire fuselage shape is just slightly off a bit it seems. That said, I really like Spitfires.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mike
