I just maidened my second estarter today. I guess I can say I am happy with the overall outcome.


This one came with a 400 motor and D gearing but I replaced the motor with a 350 C gearing as I've been reading lots of good feedback on this setup. Anyways, I did the maiden with the following setup:

350c C geraing motor
9070 prop
2s 1500mah Kokams
Dead calm weather

Tried the 80x10 prop and it flew better

How would the 9x47 prop work? I have one lying around! or a 1060?

the purple is spray painted. I used black Testors Paint Marker for the outlines, then I painted the purple. The silver is paint marker too. I only masked off the purple parts for spraying. The rest of the graphics are free handed. I just eyed it, drew it, paint it, photo'd it, looks great!

I have finished my Corsair a couple of weeks a go and it flys fine with my Powerditto Brushless on a APC E 10x7.
After a heavy Noselanding i take the BL behind the firewall.

Well, you ARE an artist; maybe you do freehand pinstriping on cars/trucks/mc's, too.

Thanks Larry, Would love to do that too. I took art classes through my school years. So I guess that explains my artistic. I'm not the best but I can try..heheh

Flies beautifully
15-20 minutes flight time with throttle management

Maybe even more but since I am not using a lipo friendly speed controller I want to be on the safe side

My first plane built a year ago when getting back into the hobby was a stock Beaver. After 4 dozen flights and being pushed aside for an E-Starter, Funny Park, and Formosa, the Beaver got an over haul and the fun is back.
She has new colours, authentic wheel pants and lighting.
Flying at dusk and even dark is a riot with the super bright LEDs. They are fed from a homemade controller that can turn on the Nav and landing lights independantly from the transmitter. Red on the left wing, green on the right. Flashing on the rudder and belly. Bright white facing forward.
The last mods when I get time will be a brushless and steerable tail wheel.
I have went through four 350 motors so I am recomending to a friend who is just starting out to just buy a brushless controller to avoid the upgrade cost later.
Has anyone tried the AC-DIYMOT-VL DIY motor in their GWS gearbox?

I didn't know this could be done........ I'd like to plan ahead, too, but don't know enough yet (never DID brushless)........... will a brushless speed/motor controller WORK with a common brushed motor???
