How do I charge a small nimh rx pack?

whats the best way to charge these tiny packs. say 110 nimh. how low a current should you use. what are some of the available charges that can do the job. Will the wall wart Says 50 mah but puts out more I think) kill the pack?

Get a Sirius 200 charger. Built like a tank and completely hands off.

I have always had good results following the battery guidance provided by Radical RC at http://members.aol.com/davthacker/nimhfaq.htm. See the info at the bottom of that page titled "Your New Battery Pack".

No matter what fast/field charger you select, it probably should not be your only charger. In addition to my field charger (Astro Flight 110D), I use an Ace DDVC for my small packs to do the forming charge (C/10) and overnight charging where fast charging is not required.

I second the Sirius Charge 100 or 200, just plug in and no worries about overcharging.

You can also go to the ezone site and under their FAQ's there are excellent answers to battery questions. 50 ma will not damage a 110mah pack too much. Any time you charge a pack you damage it somewhat. As a rule of thumb for trickle charging (slow) use a chage rate of 1/10 the pack capacity ie. a 110mah pack would slow charge at 11ma for approx 12 hours. For fast charging go 3x the pack capacity or 330ma for the 110mah pack which should take 15min to charge. Fast charging will shorten the life of the pack but is less likely to cause cell memory (nicad) or cell reversal and other nasty problems.
