article in italian ...

I don't read at all Italian...
So, photos are very clean and explanation aren't veryuseful with them,
but for "in the air" feed back, if you could put some infos in English,
it should be very smart.
Enjoy your beautiful Taboo GT.
With ful flying elevator,
I guess it's perhaps the best DLG on the market...

Bye,

Gerard.

in the next few days I will insert other photos , I am completing the system of implantation of the cover of the fuselage

fly feedback

Cora,

Do you think that your Taboo is a better ship than the TURBO, in alround
waeather (dair air, windy days, and so)
I have a Turbo.
265 g DLG.
Very smooth, but I think that a little more dihedral angle should allow
cleanest "holding" small thermals.
And perhaps a little longer root chords.
Anyway, I prefer TURBO than Fireworks III,
because F III is a typical windy ship but a diificult DLG in calm days.
So, how is the climbing launch height of your Taboo ?
Near the same than Turbo ?
And the return in the wind ?

Thank's alot,

Bye,
Gerard.

Gerard,

can't say anything about the Taboo but about your words on Turbo/Fireworks. I have flown several versions of both on contests and am still not sure, which one I prefer. Both are extremly good DLGs but with different strengths. Their possible performance is determined by piloting skills and preferences only. In my opinion, it is not possible to really say this one is better than that, because different pilots and conditions favour different properties.
If the Taboo is on the same level of perfection, then I would take any better/worse statement of a single person with a grain of salt.

Matthias has reason , does not exist the better model , but exists better pilot+model

the TabooGT is sure between the best ones to the world , perhaps in some conditions it is the best one , in others not

I have not still tried it in all the conditions , therefore I do not want to write mistaken things

You're right both

Yes, Matthias and Cora, you're right.
Feeling is very important with these top performance DLG.

But I wonder if 244 g Taboo GT climb nearly at the same high than these two winners, F III and Turbo ?

Here, it's not a feeling question, no ?

I know that high launching is not the key to have long flight,
but it's alway better to beguin a flight the most high possible...

Anyway, have-you noticed that one day a DLG model is great, and another day, with NEARLY the same weather conditions, the same model is just good, but not as great than this past day ?....
Hard to explain....
Or perhaps just shape and pilot concentration, in fact ?

Thank to you for these interesting discussion,

Bye,

Gerard.

Hi Gerard,

ahh, I misunderstood your question first. You were worrying about the launch height of such a light model, right?

I really doubt the common whisper about high weight giving high launches. It is not that simple [1]. The highest launch, I have measured so far with the logger with any of my planes was a 242g plane, thrown to 56m by my son David.

Matthias Gerstgrasser

[1]: Higher weight will only give you slightly(!) higher launches, if the release speed can be held constantly high with increasing weight. As soon as your launch speed decreases because of not beeing able to accelerate the heavier model to the same speed, any possible benefit from the better drag/weight ratio will be rapidly eaten up by the square velocity term in the kinetic energy formula. I argue, that there is an optimum launch weight for a DLG that differs from person to person. In my case, it seem to be pretty low, maybe around 250g or below.

In the next weekend I will try the drop heights with the RAM2 , my better heights with the FW3 and the XP4 are of 48mt ( FW3 260gr , XP4 280gr ) ..... I will make to know you

unfortunately the only direct comparison that I have had is with the Absalut , the TabooGT is better in all the conditions

I have flown little with the TabooGT , while it is the XP4 that the FW3 I know them very well

the first impression is that the TabooGT goes up in thermal better than all the models that I have tried , of this of they are sure , but us some month will want in order to know this model well and to be able to make of the obbiettive appraisals

elevator spring mounting ?

Cora,

Please, could-you put some pic(s) about the stainless rod ( 3/10 ?) return
pre-loaded spring mounting of your all moving elevator system ?
Have-you got the Blaster system directly from Vladimir Gravilko ?

All the best,

Gerard.

elevator spring mounting and tail drawing

Thank's a lot, Cora.

The internal hole of the Blaster system fit exactly with the external Taboo GT boom ?

If I decide to order a Taboo GT not soon, but not in a very long future,
and decide to do the same tail mounting like you,
do-you think that it'll be possible to get your elevator and fin drawing ?

It should be very smart from you
