The big difference between fall and early spring!!!

The other day I decided that the weather was finally good enough to do an AP flight to get back into the swing of things after our 14 month long winter here in MN. I was not looking for much and I didn't get much but there sure is a contrast between the shots I took last fall and what this place looks like now. We had some rain today so soon it will get pretty green - but right now - well see for yourself......

PS: Thats me in the red shirt in the second shot, standing in the street in the first shot.

Good to see you change your shirt. Do you change it back in the fall?

Great pictures, really.

The BIG Difference!

uniquewon,

That's a neat couple of pics!! It is very interesting to me to see how much protection the trees provide when they have leaves and with them off the sun goes right to the soil.

Looks like the WX is getting much warmer, so you have this flight under your belt, so go for it all summer!!

Roger

BTW, What camera are you flying? RC

Roger,

It's the 3700 on a SS with a Barstool style movable mount. See my avatar.

The trees really block the view once the leaves come out. The view is nice looking but if you really want to see what's down there, you have to do the photos before or after the leaves.

Camera

Gene,

That's a small picture!! I am not familiar with the number. What is the make? I like your pics. I am still flying the Aiptek 1.3 SD and am beginning to look for a new camera.

Thanks,

Roger

Nikon Coolpix 3700, if I'm not mistaken. 3mp, SD memory, great video, ~$200 (or half what I paid a month after they first came out )

While I like the green color in the fall picture better, at least the greys of spring mean it will be turning green before the white stuff hits again...
