Like every Dumas kit, you should have patience, In is not difficult, but you have to do a lot of work, one thing that I could say is that I learned a lot. To me the most difficult step was the fibber glassing, was my first time and really gave me a headache. I believe that took me about 150 to 200 hrs. of work, maybe because she was my first boat.
Have a nice day

I was commissioned to build this version of the Dumas PT-109 for a customer recently and I find the quality of the Dumas kit sorely lacking. The cast fittings are VERY poorly done, it took me 15 minutes a piece to just fit the funnells into the supplied brass tube for the vents, I had to purchase a heavy duty file to work down the edge to me the fit. The mufflers are almost beyond hope. The instructions are not nearly clear enough. Luckly I have been building model for over 23 years and can work my way through this. I only charged $500.00 , I would have charged $700.00 if I knew thw kit was goinf to give me this must fight! I will proballt not build another.
