That's a nice plane but a bit too big for a 6.0V speed 400 motor and .61kg (21oz) is heavy Probably go well with more power and bigger cells.

hey Troy,
the guys at the RIPMAX stand told me that they´ve flown the Prototype with an AP29L , 7/4 Folding Prop and 7/1250 cells .With this hardware it should be no problem to handlaunch this little beauty and it´s propably really fast....

The AP-29L is a high KV motor for the Kyosho EDF unit. I've tried it with a 4.7 X 4.7 APC prop and 7 cells and it pulls 30 amps. The 7 X 4 and 7 cells would probably burn the brushes out in one flight! Those guys must be crazy or they just gave you the wrong motor. Perhaps they meant to say the T450 as it looks almost identical to the AP-29L. That and the new CP1700's would make this plane Rip!

Hey Troy, I know you are fast, but how did your comment get posted before SeaFury2's opening post?

Neil.

Secret ESP POWERS!!!
Actually, I wondered the same thing?
The ap29 sounds like a good match for that plane. I've seen a few pylon planes flown with it and they all went like stink (that's American for fast Sea Fury). You could run it on 6 cells and run a bigger prop saving brushes.
