Piper Tomahawk by Dick Sarpolus
Plans for this model are in the Oct. 1979 issue of Flying Models. approx. 50"
span with 400 sq.". Has any one built one for either IC or electric ? Thanks |

Ah, I remember that one. Was looking at some old issues of FM recently and ran across it.
I have not built that particular design by Dick but I have built probably close to a dozen of his designs. They are all easy to build and they fly extremely well. Since the design is somewhat dated and was originally idented for a glow engine, I would look the plans over carefully and see what can be done to drop a few oz's. Not that his designs have a lot of superfluous structure to start with anyway!! If you decide to go ahead with this project please let us know how it turns out!!
