I flew my Bird Dog at an indoor event Saturday. Fairly small room, but the BD was well behaved. No crashes!
![]() Indoor flying is not as relaxing due to the increased concentration required. Brian |

It is if the place is big enough.
![]() Try 800ft x 200ft x 196ft tall, vary relaxing so to kick it up a notch you bring in the faster stuff so you don't fall asleep. |

This place was the size of 2 baketball courts side by side with spectator room on 2 sides. Maybe a 50 foot ceiling.

I read your comment in #8 and thought ...... we share a common malady .... the "how many planes can you make at once boredom/syndrome " ....Wild sessions of coffee and foamcutting .... all types of glue tried and only the quickest will do ...one plane being assembled with the plans for the next staring you in the face ... calling .... "build me, build me !!!"...always on the lookout for a new and curious designs that would make a good Foamie...
the good thing is that Foamies (or at least the way we build them ) are pretty economical .... Unfortunately the 14 radios and too many motors are not ....hahahahaa Good thing the wives understand our "affliction ".... The only thing is .... What to do with all the models that I can't find homes for ????.... lets see, now at two a week that's at least a hundred a year ....My studio is filling UP fast .... I don't have the extra time ,i used to have, now with the baby being a 8 days away is really getting hectic. I have ton's of plans i've downloaded and plan to build but i don't have the time. As soon as the DR1 is complete I'm doing the SLB. Last edited by BlackScorpion; Feb 28, 2005 at 10:36 AM. |

I have had the SLB cut for a while, but time hasn't allowed for the assembly. However, I have gone crazy with the sharpies, and have a pretty good looking little bipe. All that's left is Stewart, and I think my wife is going to do the honors. Hopefully I will have some pictures in a few days... Hovering pictures if things go as I hope!

Yeh, to many planes and not enough time. Did I say planes, if it fly's I am building it. I'm up to 9 built and flying heli's also and just brought another home from the WRAM show to build and test with 2 offers on others that a couple companies want me to test. Than there are the blimps, and kite type things.
Glen, had a great time talking to you buddy from GRS at the show. You need to work out a show deal with him, it lots of work but fun to meet the people in the hobby. |

Yes , the people make it FUN.....Planes , now that's serious "stuff"!!!
Me? I got 13 Foamie planes and one heli setUP(ready to fly) .... never had the "rounds" to fly the heli yet , gotta' go for it sooner or later ....I've crashed OFB's heli simulator so many times , that and flew into the pits repeatedly and hit stuff... Bad!!!Scary!!! |
