Jet Day at the Bay

Well, I've given this EDF rally thing some thought. And a name. Since I plan to have no booths, no vendors, no sponsors, no events, no advertising, no T-shirts, no tents, no planning, no fees, no nothing, is there any reason to wait until August?

Nope. I would like to have a couple weeks notice, though so that I can weasel my way out of whatever may have been planned for that day.

No T-shirts??!! Oh, okay. The following dates won't work for me:

April 12-14 - Best of the West fan fly at El Toro.
April 26-28 - Western Regional Scale Masters Qualifier
May 5 - Santa Paula Grumman Fly-in

Other than that, I'm free and would love to attend!

Just Ejets...Sounds like a good idea.

No shirts is fine with me. I never got the one I paid for at MWE anyway.

Steve,
Contact Bill Everitt about that T-shirt.

Everybody,
How about May 4?
The Arizona guys are more than welcome.

Armin,
We could do it several times a year and have one in July/August as well.

This will just be a simple Jet-together with no publiciity other than here on the 'zone.

We regularly shut down the field for F5B practice one or two times a month, we could do the same for EDF (prop jets are welcome, but NO ZAGIs or Zagi look-alikes).

Just an FYI from an Arizona guy,
There is an all-electric flying event in Phoenix at the Sun Valley Fliers Field on May 5th which EJF usually attends. I don't know if Robert planned on it this year. The event usually pulls in local fliers with about 50-60 pilots attending last time.

Puget sound EDFers?

I've been thinking about trying to set up an informal gathering of Puget Sound EDF flyers sometime early this summer as a step toward a more formal event.
Working title was "Thirty Seconds over Marymoor" but that may lean a little too far toward self-mockery to be sustainable.
Anyone interested, shoot me a PM.

I could move to May 11 if Robert will show up. He doesn't like our field. He thinks it's too short!
