My Ultimate Bipe getting an ULTIMATE make-over
Thought I'd post a pic of my Wattage Ultimate Bipe after making some progress on it's second chance at life. I bought this plane used about a year ago...it had been dorked a few times before I got it, and after steering it into a curb ( ) and breaking the lower wing mount last fall it was stored away.
I dug it out yesterday and began ripping the old faded blue covering off of it...as I pulled the skin off, parts of the main frame were coming off with it, in some places the only thing that held it together was the covering.
Anyway after replacing some balsa, adding top ailerons and carbon fiber to the wings, replacing the wing mount and a few other fixes here and there, I began the covering job.
It's going to look better than the old solid blue pattern it had before I think. You'll probably recognize the covering scheme.
Not quite done, but getting close...
