Anyone try'd this for cd motor winding?

Was just wondering if anyone has try'd one of these for winding a cd motor I just thought of it as I have a couple lying around.

All it is, is a fly tying bobin I thought a guy could put a spool of wire in it and save your fingers in the winding process as the lip where the wire would come out of the bobbin is nice and rounded so you would not scrape any insulation off the wire

I try'd it it seems to work very well.. and the insulation takes no damage and you can work alot closer to the stator to keep it neat

How did you manage to keep tension on the wire as you were winding? i use a piece of felt folded around the wire and clamped to provide mine. it looks good do you think it would be robust enough to handle .65mm wire?

Here is mine.

You can keep the tension just by pinching the boubin of wire at the end

only i use the felt clamped in the forcepts now as the teflon kept splitting.
