Slim Gyms are here! (NSP)

We haven't changed the name (yet) but we just got in the new 280 version. We have an intro price of $49.95 plus shipping. Only got in 40 so we expect them to go fast. After this batch we think we may have to increase the price 15-20%.

BTW...we are also having a "Make a Deal days" for ListBot members only. Starts Tomorrow at noon and goes to Thursday end of day. To get more details join our Listbot mailing list on the frontpage of our website (Look on the bottom)

I got mine ordered 4/25/01 @7PM EST! I ordered mine (2) with the 260 motor. Since this is basically the same plane that will be sold for the LiteStik setup, I thought the 280 would be overkill. This is a very very good buy since it includes the motor and all the hardware. Like the original Model T it currently only comes in one color -- yellow!

Well Yellow is A LOT better than the awful "Heather Pink" that came attached to my Minipleaser!!! Yech. What's wrong with overkill? You musta talked with Sal to get the 260? You'll be sorry!! I'm hoping NSP gets the $39 version soon as I'm itching to try it withthe GWS motor and the light loading. Try the 2 cell pack on your MP yet? Best Regards

Bleriot, the 260 idea was mine. If it doesn't work, I can only blame myself. Heather pink? Did you get Sal angry with you?Probably a special order color!
Best regards!

What's wrong with pink! The Californians love it! I still have to disagree with Bleriot. The 260 has a reasonable amount of power and runs well on 8 cell NiMhd cells. This combo gives decent power and lasts fine.

Sal, I have a stupid question here. What are the advantages of using the 260 set ups that I see you use a lot, over using just a 280 setup? Is the 280 too much power for some of these planes? Or does the 280 weigh more?. I'm just curious as the 260 motors seem to be non existant around here. Thanks---Rob

The 260 motor system is 1/2 ounce lighter, but more importantly it uses about half the current of the 280 motor so you can use a 270 mah NiMhd pack. This results in a weight difference of 2 ounces (approx). The 260 motor system can be used in planes that come in at 7-9 ounces. I prefer this to the GWS motor systems because these systems for two reasons. The GWS drive system is fragile and easily broken in a crash, The GWS motors used in the drives doi not have CF brushes and burn out fairly easily. When GWS does come out with the new CF brushed motors installed in their drives I would start using them again. The cost will be higher for these drive/motor systems.

I did see a MiniPleaser on a 260 motor at the local dome and it flew with more than enough power.
