What do you think I should do with the electronics?
Try to rebuild the 109 or use them in a new plane. Which
plane should I get if I only want to use what I had on the
109?

GWS 350C-BS Gear Motor

I just want to know what y'all would do if you had these electronics. If you had to pick one airplane that would work with this stuff what would it be? I'm just curious which models are hot right now.

Fix the plane and fly, and fix, and fly. The important step is the fly. oh, and fun!

You might take a look at the Mountain Models SmoothE kit

What you have is pretty close to recommended setup. MM recommends GWS 350 with C gearbox and 8 cell (9.6v) pack but you might be able to get your stuff to work. You can contact the guys at MM and ask. You would need another servo for the sport wing ailerons but the slowfly wing version can be built without ailerons. My SmoothE sport flies great.

Put the stuff in a Formosa. Best flying GWS plane so far.

I'd also recommend using a better reciever, either a Berg or one of the dual conversions from HiTec, JR, Airtronics, etc. It might just be me but I think a good receiver is cheap insurance against "shot down" incidents. I only trust and use the R4P's for light slow planes like the Tigermoth or Cub. Expecially if flying around other transmitters. Sure a better rx costs more but is still cheaper than buying a new plane, and easier than repairing a busted plane.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think with a little fancy fiberglass work I can fix it. Keep posting your opinions on other airplanes though. I am always on the lookout for a new project.

Just pack all that stuff in a box and send it to me. Nothing will fly right with it anyhow.....

Or buy an IFO. You can take a formosa out of the sky with an IFO. MUWAHAHAHAHA!

Fix the 109. Then, use the money saved to buy a Berg.

Nah, just a couple of pilots willing to break stuff for entertainment. After all, you should never put something into a low level circuit that you aren't willing to crash. Midairs are fun after all. Now if someone has an aircraft up that they are trying to keep out of the fray, either a higher altitude or landing is an option, but if someone yells combat (me) and someone else says WooHoo (or the equivalent), then game on and a midair is the objective. Now, disturbing is something involving a stick and tissue airplane and an EPP wing--not a fair fight. But a brushless IFO and a brushless Formosa? Very fair fight

Anything from Mountain Models.. I'd pick the SwitchBack.. Save the foam for the beer can coolers
