How much weight can the XRB Lama carry?
Looking to add some scale canopys to my lama, but how much can this heli carry befroe it gets to heavy?
Any measurements would be most appreciated.

One thing to consider is the weight's impact to flight duration. Some info regarding that is found here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326322

You don't know how many people I've shown this to who have asked me if I can make it fetch me a beer. One track minds!
An empty can, maybe, but certainly not full!

I've found that if the wieght of the XRB goes much above 200g then the handling deteriorates. It becomes harder to maintain altitude and the model is more sluggish. The current consumed also rises at about 13mA per gram. This leads to hotter motors (and probably shorter lived) more gyro drift as well as reduced flight times.
As rough estimate for a given battery each extra gram takes something like 6 seconds off the duration.
I like to keep mine below 186g but its really nice to fly at 144g with no tail or canopy and a light battery.
