I like RcCad.
Its just for aircraft, stupid easy, fast, real time 3d rendering, and can export to dxf and makes cross sections for your fuszes.
There is a free demo version, and I think its like $50 if you buy it.

You dont need a program to scratch build, you need shop eqpt
If you want to design, thats a different story....

I use TurboCad V8. Just started learning CAD and I realy like this program. While it's not designed specficly for designing aircraft. It is a fairly powerful and easy to use program. You can download an eval copy at www.turbocad.com
