"I'm LSF 3 and you're not!....sort of, almost:-)"

Hi guys,

It is a matter of maybe days and I will have completed my LSF level three
requirements!

Eat your hearts out!

Even if we can't get a contest going this weekend in Dallas, my LSF 3 is
that close...one contest attendance away! :-)

Let's here where all you LSF3 pretenders are sitting in your quest for true
soaring greatness (or at least how close is your form to being sent in for
confirmation :-)

I'm considering holding on to the completed form for the same amount of time
I did the LSF1..which I finished in 79 but only sent in this past year.

Had hoped to get both 2 and 3 done in the same year but ran out of
contests...

So where are you on level 3?

I'm close enough to 'see' it! It's just a little over 1/2 mile away ...
that being one .62 mile goal & return task. Been there since ... hmmm,
form says Sept of '98. Maybe this year...

My LSF III is awaiting a goal and return and a 2 hour slope. Maybe I can gather some troops and do it in Muncie in July after one of the days events are done.

Another member of our club is also awaiting a goal and return because we haven't found a good place to do it. Our field is buried in a rather congested area with no quiet roads to ride in the back of a pickup or convertible and fly.

We could probably do it with a spotter and cell phones but it does not really provide the stepping stone to true cross country that it is intended to build. Too purist?? Maybe, but the point is to become proficient at cross country, _not_ just become an LSF III. Or is it?
