If it's anything like the telebee, manual, do what I did and download the Futaba 401 manual; it's full of good generic info re: HH gyros. Of course, some of the info is specific to the Futaba, like mounting, pots, etc. But operation info is the same.

Now i have been reading the Align manual and the futaba 401..
But my gyro is still not acting the way it has to.
I use a Hs50 servo on the tail and the Align HH gyro, have a futaba FF7.
Before i used a GWS Pize gyro.
So here is what i did.

- Turned of the Revo
- Set the End points to 50%
- Set all trims to 0
- In the FF7 menu i set the gyro to A:30% and N:50%
- The gain on the gyro is at 50%

But as soon as the heli lifts of it starts to wag like crazy and even when i start the tail drifts ...

What am i doing wrong ????????

need help

Thanks

I can't get all of the drift out of my Telebee gyro. But the drift is pretty small. Maybe 1 degree every couple seconds. The best way to eliminate drift is to get rid of all vibration possible and make sure the gyro is mounted properly.

To reduce drift you have to use sub-trim for the rudder channel. My gyro like around 70% and 15-20 sub-trim. The amount of sub-trim needed seems to be temperature dependant. I 40 degree temps (outside) it likes around 0 sub-trim and 70 degree temps (inside) it likes 15-20.

You can find a guide to setting up the Align gyro linked directly off the trextuning home page.
