Question
Need the Nuova Faor SF 501 body set (Electric)

Where can I get the Nuova Faor SF 501 Electric body set (clear lexan not painted)? It looks like a Honda race bike.

Brandon,

It is not a Honda,,..Suzuki R1, clear, and a very good thickness to the lexan,
Comes with decals...fits both the NF and TT bikes. Very nice cut impressions with protection for your painting.

Thanks for the info, but......

I actual already have the R1 body (Blue FM-1e). I was told that other model bodies would fit my Thunder Tiger FM-1e chassis. I also just bought the Ducati RTR today. I would like to replace the Ducati lexan with the body that I recently seen on an electric NF SF501. Most of the electric NF SF501's have the race body with the curved windscreen. Some Nitro NF SF501 have a different body. Look similar but it has more of a squared wind screen.

Hope this clears up my request.

Here are some pics. Sorry if these are someone bikes, but I found these pics on the net.

Thanks,
Brandon

Yes it does Brandon,

Hi Brandon, the pics you've posted are of the old style NF bodywork which I don't think is available anymore. The current bodywork is styled like the Honda RC211V, they also have a better rider

Deano

p.s. I think these are the ones Dave has at Crazy Nut Racing

I see now - I thought one was an electric version and the other was nitro.

That sucks, I really wanted one of these bodies.

Now I need a plan B.

Suzuki R1???? Are you confused or was that just a typo? The new Nuova Faor bodies are Honda RC211v's for both the electric and the nitro. Atleast thats how it looks on their site. The R1 comes from thunder tiger so its obviously for electric but you can use it with nitro bikes as well. I haven't seen anyone put a 999 body on a nitro yet but I don't see why it wouldn't work. So, any of the bodies from TT or NF will fit both bikes, electric or Nitro. Hope that helps.

Tom,

Not a typo, just plain confusion!!! Of course you know this, but the R1 isn't even a Suzuki....I've been spending a lot of time looking for a used 600 sport bike for the better weather times to come. It will be my first bike ever!!
Thanks for clearing things up.

I probably could, Kevin! And the genuis that bought it would sit there wondering what the piece of lexan was that was underneath his new duct tape.

Edit: make that "genius"

Crazy Costs for $.25 worth of plastic

Can somebody explain how they charge $30 for 25 cents worth of lexan?

Guys, who can make a mold and vacum form some lexan? I'll help fund the
development for a good lexan body - who else wants in?

It must be a cost issue related to quantity produced.....how else do you explain lexan 1/10 car bodies for 1/3 the price of motorcyle fairings....
I dunno, maybe I'm just dumb

Yea, no kidding dude -

On CNR, which is a cheaper source to begin with, they charge $30 each for the NF front fairing and seat, making a complete bodyset costing $60!!

Never has it been so hard to get a hold of a Honda RCV bodyset. . . I guess I'll stick with the $30 Yammy for the time being.

Must . . have. . honda. . . $$$$. . . ugh
