E-FLITE 370 outrunner 1080kv with a cc 10 and 3 cell 700 Kokam. 10 minutes maybe. But I'm looking at getting some Thunder Powers. From what I hear they are buy far a better battery. As far as the moter goes. I couldn't be happier!! Bigrc2

Flight times on a fresh off the charger are 18 mins of 3D...off the charger overnight, kept in the garage, more like 13 minuets.
Here's the video, in case you haven't seen it.

Good stuff Mike!! Also, add any mods or reinforcements. It's so hard reading through every post that comes through.

What prop are you using on the E-Flite 1080??..same as Mike?? I will be doing a Tensor real soon and I am at the power plant decision stage. I fly almost 100% outdoors..do the 1080's have enuff power for good outdoor stuff??

I'd guess 10 minutes of flight. My Tensor weighs 10.25 ounces.

More than enough and ya I'm also using a 10x4.7 prop. You wont be disappionted!! Plus the 1080 gives you the option of 2 cells for indoors 3 for out!!

E-Flite 370-1360, CC 10 amps ESC, TP 860 2 cell and 3 cell packs, 10x4.7 prop. 10 miniute flight times, packs take about 700maH recharge after 10 min flight.

I've also flown the E-Flite 370-1080, prefer the feel of the 1360 motor. It is definitely better with 2cells. Sacrifice a little (very little) in flight time, but the extra RPM is nice.

Love this plane!!!

YAYAYAYAYA, smartarse, I have 2 more comming along with the 1050 to try in my somewhat less than stable EF Yak. I really do love the Apogees, they are so light and compact.
One of the best "heads up" I've gotten here, thanks Bigrc2.

Axi 2208/34 9x4.7 3s apogee 830's, 2s TP700's. Nice on 3s inside and out, a little weak on 2s outside in the breeze.

Same motor 10x4.7 Very nice indoors and out. The larger prop helps 2s significantly.

I've thrown 3s 830's, 1200's, 1550's on this plane. Unlike a shocky the larger packs don't really seem to bother it with all the extra wing. Lighter is better inside.

Hey Guys, I'm gettin ready to build my Tensor and was thinking about getting the Eflight 370 1080 but then I looked at the weight, 1.6oz. I have a Razor MHv.2 in a Gws Gb that weighs 1.5oz. and I'm sure it has more power than the outrunners. Even with the stick it will prolly be a push in the weight dept. I think that's the way I'll do it. So why don't more people look at this as an option? Am I missing something?

Good question Mike...I was wondering the same thing.. ..it may be that the amps needed for the Razor will require the bigger 860mah and above to get the Razor cranked but I doubt that with that kind of power full throttle shots will be very short but butt loads of fun... I think if I were going to go that route, I would drop the prop size to a GWS 10/4.7..6.6:1 gearing, Himax 2015/5400, CC10 and some HES 2003 servos and I bet a 2s or 3s 860 TP 2nd Gen would be sweet..
I don't have a Razor but I do have several 2015/5400's that weigh just a little more but I would bet would do the job nicely.
Also after really studying the foam used on the Tensor I believe it's the same foam that comes sandwiched between the paper backing on SturdiBoard..it's almost 4.5mm just like the SB foam center, feels exactly the same in texture, strength, and stiffness..if this stuff is not the same as the SB foam center then I'll eat my hat.....
