Zeke (or anyone)
Has anyone finished theirs and flown it yet?
I'm almost ready to start on mine and curious how theirs flew.

Hi Don,

Arrow has flown his and his comment to me was that the first flight was probably the best maiden he ever had. I haven't had much of a chance to talk to him lately, but he was very pleased with how it flies. I think he's since upgrading (upgraded?) to a BL outrunner on it. Do you plan on starting a build thread Don?

Z, do you have any kits of the Monocoupe w/ailerons left? I would like to put one of my new lensrc motors in it. Thanks.

Very cool, will have to check the video tonight when I get home. Mine is just about ready for covering, looking forward to getting it in the air.

I'm making some minor modifications to the design, so I have a few kits available (R/E/A/T version) that I'm selling for $15 off.

Started my build today, and its going fine. i am doing the wings first because i want to use the flat surface of my work table and i have to give that up for a while in a few days.

remodel time in the avaition dept here.

so i think its great so far Zeke, i was just thrilled to see how well engineered everything was, and its a strong wing and very cleverly designed.

Looking forward to some pics! I know the wing os probably a little overkill, but I design for the way I fly...an intermediate flyer with occasional mishaps, so I want it to be strong.

building the wing

I started with the wing because i am about ot lose my workspace starting monday..due to basement remodel..i will have to take things with me while flying..i am a corporate pilot and wait for passengers--i can usually get a table in the shop at most airports--i know most of the guys at the airports..

well anyway--this wing is wonderfully engineered..i did the whole thing in about an hour and a half because i take my time.

its very important to follow the instructions--the trailing edge for the wing /aileron interface has to be cut down, this is because he (very smartly) made it long enough in case you wanted to go with flaps as well..

this is a recurriung theme with this plane--everything is extremely well planned--if it doesnt look right--you are missing something important--so dont glue it yet!! i made a few small mistakes and quickly corrected them becuase i know of the precision in this kit..my mistakles never got glued so we are still on the beam..

BTW--i got my phoenix 10 back today--they warantied it even thoguh i had no idea if i destroyed it myself or not..they are Super at customer service-

the laser cutting in this kit is SUPERB..if you like the cessna 180--you will Love this one..

the whole time i am building this i am thinking about buying another one just to have on hand--its the kind of kit like mountain models thats just fun in itself just for building..

Eek, what's going to happen to all your plastic models Tim?

Nice wing! Must start on mine, after my Tyro. And the Pietenpol...
