what kind of prop were you planning on using? what kind of amp draw you shooting for?

this motor seems to max out my p-10 (just under 10 amps) with a 7*4 prop. i need to get a better amp-meter and try it with the P-35

Toby

PS, i see a stick mount for the motor, is this permanent allready?

Toby,
I am looking to run a 11x4.7 or 11x6 and would like to acheive around 30-35 oz of thrust ??? I run the 10C thunder power or 10.5C Apogee 3s1p.
And, no, the stick is not glued yet.

Like all wood buildups, it will be a shame to cover all the lovely frame - but I guess that's what the camera is for. Also, it is nice that the real plane has those nice large windows, so you can see all the interior work when completed.
Looking forward to seeing the completed work of art.
Rick
Rick,
Yea, the build is pretty strait forward. The instructions are lacking a little here & there... translated from Korean... or maybe the kit is intended for a more seasoned builder. I got it all figgered out !
A lot of sanding with all the curves. Also i never covered a plane with so many compound curves... maybe I can get Earl to give me a hand ???(hint-hint)

Thanks!
Adam
Adam,
My son ordered it about 10 days before Christmas and it arived Christmas eve-eve... 23rd.
So if the holidays aren't involved, I'm sure it would be a bit quicker.
No major gripes so far... we'll see how the covering goes !

Do you know what color scheme you are going to use?
Thanks Jim,
I am gonna make it the color of the one on the website.
They supply the starburst stickers with the kit.

Thats Greg Koontz. Comes to Fernandina every year for our 4th of July airshow. Heck of a nice guy, actually I am wearing one of his shirts right now...lol. The airplane is a brand spankin' new Super Decathalon, very very nice.

Edit: Thats his old airplane....has a new one now. That one may still be for sale for around 110k

I think a tripple stack wound much like the motor i had in the B2 should work, it should pull about 16amps, not sure of the thrust yet, i'll have to wind it and see. I assume a firewall style mount much like the Axi is good.
