Cross Country Flying
I remember back around 1976 / 77, reading a magazine article about the crew that flew a Senior Falcon across the USA. Does anyone happen to have an online source that refers to the flight?
The idea of flying across the USA has been tickling my mind for a few weeks now, ever since driving across Wyoming on a trip. Boredom while driving tends to lead to all sorts of odd thoughts, like how would I attempt to cross the state with a model aircraft, what kind of model, what support would be needed, etc, etc, etc ..
Has it been done since '76?
Another thought: Why not make a contest out of it? Who can cross the USA first given a common starting date / time?
Eh ... just ramblings from someone suffering flying fever during the winter.
Still, would be nice to get more information about the '76 flight.
