Looking for a good receiver

I know this should probably be in the nitro heli section, but I have gotten such good advice here, and I am sure you guys could help me with this one...thanks...

I am still kind of new to the whole RC world, and I am getting a Raptor 30 with JR 811 servos and a Futaba 401 gyro/digital servo. I have a Hitec Eclipse 7 transmitter, and I will need to get a new receiver. I am looking for help on what kind of receiver to get, because I know they all have different plugs....Any help would be greatly appreciated...I would rather get a better receiver than a cheaper one. Thanks...

You might look at the Hitec digital (Q-PCM) receiver which is compatible with your Hitec Eclipse 7.

I can't post a link to it because evidently the Hitec website is down...but when it's up you can search for it at: http://www.hitecrcd.com .

What would be the major differences between the QPCM receiver and say a normal one like the Slim 8 channel?? The QPCM is $95, and the slim 8 is $45?

The berg's are top of the heap for something as small as one of these birds. I still use a few Electron 6's and they are flawless as well. The Berg 6 is around $50.00 and the Electron 6 runs ~$55.00 give or take. Online prices are better but you have to consider shipping and the wait. I HATE waiting for heli parts.
