I'm shooting for 37k! but whatever the number, I'm gonna be light.I'm thinking of light 5s too... Same weight as 3s hot wind but ? k more rpm.
This motor has seen 6s on wings at 1.5 kw so I'm sure it has the potential. Its those 90c peak packs that may make this dream happen

Maidened

It Goes fast! Guesstimate it to be in the 140mph in a tight circuit, Jeepers does it turn fast, Pulled some serious G's. I like it, I like it alot.

Easily the best flying speed 400 racer ive ever flown. Unfortunatly broke the prop on landing and forgot to bring my box of spares, so no video. Next time

I think a 16/15/2 is in my future.

Sweet Jacko! One more story confirming I'm making the right choice getting a Voodoo. Can't wait for the video.

I thought 16/15/2 was too hot for 3s? ...something about demagging and shafts coming unglued with 3s/4.1x4.1? After hearing those reports I figured a neu 1107 was the way to go for 180mph craziness.

Just bought a 16/15/2

Seems to be mixed thoughts on how they hold up on 3S, My 16/15/3 cracks 1000W at the moment, So 600 odd with 2 turn should be shweet. I managed to get a heatsink on the ARC in the nose of the voodoo, Ill do the same with the mega. This thing is gonna scare the old farts at my club

That motor should be fine with heat sink and cooling vents. What prop and battery are you going to use? Folded wing on rifle..
Im gonna be paying more attention to this thread because I only had a taste of the S400 experience. I want the full meal!!

does this look right?
(Dr Kiwi's post)

Motor: Mega ACn 16-15-2; 4600rpm/V; 2.97A no-load; 0.012 Ohms.
Battery: Thunder Power TP3200 (G4 ProRace 40C) (40C); 3 series x 2 parallel cells; 3200mAh @ 3.7V; 0.003 Ohms/cell.
Speed Control: Castle Creations Phoenix 60; 0.0012 Ohms; High rate.
Drive System: 4.1x4.1 (Pconst=1.16; Tconst=1) direct drive.
Airframe: Anything you want.

Motor Amps = 53.0
Motor Volts = 10.8
Input (W) = 572.6
Prop RPM = 45821
Thrust (oz) = 30.2
PSpd (mph) = 177.9

Since max amps for this motor are listed as 38A... no way with a prop! (that should have been obvious given the 4600KV!)

Dr. Kiwi is very conservative , and those numbers are calculated, and way off too.

Heather from my LHS tested one.

Well I have some interesting numbers from an APC 4.1x4.1 on a Mega 16/15/2 motor.

Tests where performed using an Apache 70A ESC (Similar to Jeti), 3s-3300mah battery (1yr old Hyperion), Eagletree V3 150A Data logger with brushless sensor & Tahmazo motor thrust gauge. Temp - 22c. Pole count set to 6 for rpm sensor.

10.58V 54.5A 575W 37313rpm 520grams Thrust

I regreted not having earmuffs on....

By feeding these and the Microdan velocity numbers into www.badcock.net's efficency calculator we get an interesting comparison. Velocity = 68.4%, Mega = 79%

Ive got a scorpion 60A V2 in the voodoo, and the G3 35C 1800 3S hyperion pack, so it'll just be a motor change. 4.1" props will be the max.

Rubbish weather and boredom resulted in motor swap Some arctic silver on the heatsink in the hopes of keeping the poor 4600kV mega 16/15/2 alive!

37,000 rpm sounds shweeeeeet!

Scared? Yes.

Ungodly fast! Stupid fast! Fastest model I have ever seen in person

CG is slightly too far fwd, and my elevator throws of 2mm are too much! But it survived its first 16-15-2 flight, my underpants did not.

Had a video camera pointed at it, dunno how much footage of the plane we got, Ill have a look later and upload some.

Did I mention im still shaking?
