current from memory was 50 amps

all the correct info is on the links with KrisS who did that version of the voodoo

The model from memory used 7*gp2000 cells which are reputed to give close to 50 amps

I have studied all the details on this set up as it seems to be the fastest and have the most watts 350 watts for this plane

I intend to try out 8 cell gp 2000 when they arrive if `i can stuff them into the model with another motor to be decided mayby the mega 3 wind not sure
but if 8 cells wont fit will modify pack to 7 cells

8 cells GP2000 won't fit, you won't be able to slide the pack through the fuse opening.
I would try to keep the Voodoo light, better flight characteristics and less damage on a bad landing, i.e. use a TP pro-lite 2100 3s pack, it also can deliver about 350 watt.

Would Polyquest XP1500 fit into VOODOO, any experiences?

Does it need any modifications to the fuselage?

Yup, PQ1500XP 3s and even PQ1800XP 3s will fit.

Wow, thats nice, wonder why Hoellein says that 1200mAh is the biggest PQ lipo that fit into VOODOO????

So no modifications were needed to fuselage???

I try to reach light (not the lightest) setup instead of reaching max capacity. 1200mAh pack would be too weak with continuous current being drawn with coming setup (20-24A). Enormous difference with flying charasteristics when using lighter accus. My current RazFaz turned out to be a different plane with 96g 3S lipo pack comparing approx.160g Nimh pack even had to limit current down to save pack.

No mods to the fuse needed, but it depends how you install your servos, the front servo might get into the way, here is how I did mine:

One question more, how well did those PQ perform with your usage? Did they show any weakening signals when discharging with high current?

They perform well, however they already lost some capacity, they only take about 1600mAh. I now prefer Thunder Power pro-lite 2100.

Hi guys! I've been reading serveral pages when this thread first started, and I was wondering...I have a Het-rc 2w(little hotter than a mega 16-15/2), a HM40b-F esc plus 7GP2200 laying around gathering dust.
-Will this fit, after I dust it off?
-What prop should I use for 35-45A (tried a 4,5x4,75 52A, but the motor didn't unwind really, bad speed too)
-How many days before delivery, still 4-6weeks?

Good luck flying your Voodoo's (don't blink )

What size is the cell gp 2200

Hi robert zeeland welcome to the house of fun

If the gp2200 cells are 4/5 c sized 40 grams then they wont fit

one of those cells in line pack of some 4 or five cells might fit

You need to be talking AA or 4/5 1400 ae sized cells
better is the gp1100 sized cells
This is a very very small s400 class plane that was realy meant for 7*500ars

Its just with the newwer smaller cells and heavier planes outside competion specks that means we can push them harder

To get down to 40 amps you need to change down props to mayby 4.1*4.1 or do a home brew cut down

KrisS on this thread is using 7*gp2000 which are 4/5 1400aes sized and he says thats the maxium that it wont fit eight and he uses the 2 wind mega at 50 amps and all maths show in nimh this is probably the maxium possible
There might be a lipo that works cant say as couldnt get my Kokam 3200 mha to fit
thee KV of the 2 wind is 4000 what your motors kv

Where will you buy your plane Hollien ?? or in holland LHS???

Thanks, and fun it will be! With the Het-rc2W, my best bet might be a juicy 2S lipo pack. What would be the max.width?

Man, I can't wait! Guess it'll take a month at least when I order at Hollein.
I'll giv'm a call one of these days.

Any vid's of this little screamer online yet?

can't wait to sSsSsShred

rZ

ps: what would you guys advice for max. batteryweight?

Duh!!!!!
the pack wont fit unless i modify it some way or modify plane

I dont like option modify plane too much and dont like option remove a cell to make 7 pack

So I will break the pack in the middle and join the two parts with 4mm cable so that the pack can sissors slide in and also by folding pack over for other planes be a block pack

So I dont like the option to buy a mega two turn kv 4000

I have a 480 motor kv 3600 kv brushless hacker and the
brusshed 480 motor plettimberg 200/20/4 kv 3800 ish

The big advntages of the brushed motor are the size of the brushed 40 amp esc with bec is a lot smaller
than the tmm 60 amp with bec
and the kontronik smile 50 amp dont got a bec

Figure will go with pletttimberg 200/20/4 40 amp esc
( make cooling holes and use motor in burst mode 20 seconds )
and home brew folder 4.7*6 and might get close to your speeds

Will be heavy i know buts thats life

The only lipos I buy are the kokam 20 c 3200mha and they just wont fit and the specs on 200 packs value for money are not interesting as I can get threee packs of gp2000 for one pack of 20c type 2000 lipos nearly
