Broadseaming Block/Sailmaking Board

I saw Broadseaming Blocks/Sailmaking Boards mentioned in another thread...

I understand broadseaming and I've seen pictures of sail lofts with lofting floors that could be adjusted to the desired airfoil shape for the sails to be layed out on... is a model-sized version of that what we're referring to? A working surface with the desired airfoil curvature built in?

Where do I find info on that?

Al, one place you might check is www.onemetre.net the excellent webpage of the international one meter. I believe there were several good pieces on how to make sails that adress your question-

Good luck!

Thanks a lot -- there was, indeed, an article in the Tech section on sail blocks and using them to get the desired draft in a sail.

Good stuff!

(Any more for the info junkie in me anybody?)
