So Cal Polar Bear/ Swap Meet/ F63F comp.

Attention SoCal 60" Slopers, got the day off, on vacation?

Yes, the Polar Bear / Swap Meet is ON.

Traditionally the Jerry Craft Annual Polar Bear F3F and Swap Meet has been held at Torrey Pines. The Swap Meet has had success but we have been skunked 4 years in a row. Sooooo, it will not be at Torrey this year.

This year there has been interest in a 60" Max only F3F style of you against the clock ( the BS stops when the clock starts ) competition. The 60"s have ALWAYS been welcome at any F3F event, but this will be a special Non - Season Points comp. just for fun on an even playing field. So no excuses I can't compete, come out and show your stuff .

The class is 60" Composites, Balsa Sheeted or any Model deemed as Crunchy only, no Foam, not 48", not a Two Meter, but 60". Woody and I know there are some models sold as 60 that are a wee bit short, no problem, But not over. We will give a 1" over allowance period.

Full 100 Meter Course.

When:: Tuesday Dec. 28th, Tentative start 11:30 AM - Start time depending on forecast.

Where: Good question, all slopes will be considered. Wind first , landing second. Depending on the Forecast.
Hopes are for Whites or Temple for landing. Parker or Beacon for Wind.
Final announcement to be made no later than 6 PM Monday the 27th or sooner.

In conjunction there is the Annual Swap Meet. Clean out the hanger and haul it to the slope, planes, radios, servos, Hanger Queens.

If you can make it, please drop a reply so we have an idea of how many will be attending.

Regards,
Dan & Woody

but you can count me in... i'll be there... probably flying a MB and a mach dart as a backup... ch 54 and 36(for the backup)

A request has been made to allow Foam. I went to Council, agreed , 60" Foam will be allowed.

Please don't ask now if I can bring my 48 " Combat Wing, not the intent of this special comp for 60" class Gliders. 60" Combat Wing, meets the requirement.

I put in a good word for you, but she thinks you look a wee bit shady. ;-)

It is just either trusting strangers or all slopers, not sure which.
