OT: Surf's Up!
There's been no wind in Maui for the last few days, but the surf has been kinda big...
I scanned this from the front page of this morning's Maui newspaper. |

and they think DS'ing is dangerous? LOL!
forget that... i wouldnt know if i was more afraid of a shark/drowing/ or getting swallowed up by that thing.... dang... death/death/ or more death? lol... psycho's... but very cool to watch saw those waves onthe news tonight here in socal.... some psycho's over there... lol JOe |

those swells are going to hit "maverics" in N. Cal. tomorrow, supposed to be 30'+ waves !

My company has been filming at Jaws yesterday & today. We have a cameraman in a heli, and another in a boat. For the guy in the boat it's his first time filming surfing. He practically had a heart attack on day one.

Wow...What a trip!
I'm always amazed by big waves... I wonder why they're so big when the wind is down. Is there a big storm approaching? |

I honeymooned in puerto rico
In rincon one of the few places where they have god honest big wave sufing this side of the atlantic. I went body boarding in some 15 footers and thought I was going to die. puny by cali hawaii standards but terrifying to me he he. it was all I could do to clear the shore break for gods sake

obiously youv never seen the point. greg knoll compaired it to big sunset beach it can get scaryat 15+ it will even spit
