24 dollar brushless motor 49 dollars with speed control!

produces 600 Grams of thrust at 11.1 volts. I wonder what some other props could do!

As are that know me will atest, I hate DD as it doesn't leave much room to taylor the drive system to a plane and amps are always way to high for me, but that said these motors kick butt. Now I've run them on other props but this setup is the cherry. What I'm really stoked on is the ESC, a little big, the size of say a castle 25 but who really cares with this kind of power and price.

Oh by the way, I'll be testing 2 others this week of differant winds for possible sale.

What is the wieght of the motor and ESC?

Im still in abstinence for Brushless...Outboard means no gearbox? I suppose the disadvantage is no combos to try out, but the postive side, no gearbox to break...

If above is true, what happens if I bend the shaft? Is it replaceable?

Ordered one just a minute ago....

The ESC looks like a CC unit thought obviously without some of the features. I am hoping I can get rid of the geared himax on my e-flite ultimate and use this instead losing some weight in the process. Probably won't hover the same but it should putt around ok. Are these single, double stator or somewhere in between. Does it get hot on 3 cells with the 8040?

It looks like the jumper switch.

2-pin jumper in: supports 2-cell Li-Poly cutoff

2-pin jumper out: supports 3-cell Li-Poly cutoff

Here's the link to the ESC:

http://www.balsapr.com/catalog/speed...ductId=U910656

It lists for $39.95, a bargin in itself, but as a combo with the brushless motor and mount it's all $49.95. They have to be out of stock already.
