Wires Wires Wires Everywhere
This question is for all you depron flat foam flyers out there. How do you secure the wires from the Servos, Servos extensions, ESC, Ect to the airplane. I was securing them with a piece of Clear Packing tape but the tape looses up after a while. There must be a better way. Thanks.

Hot glue out of a low-temp glue gun. It's messy at first but you get better with practice. The bonus is it just peels off when you're ready to transfer the electronice to the next one.

Ditto, kinda. I use a drop or two of hot melt to hold the tail servo wires and ESC/motor wires in place, but I use a strip of Blenderm tape to hold the aileron servo wires flat against the bottom of the wing. Blenderm has very good adhesion and I've not had any trouble with it comming loose.

Make sure U cover foam surfaces with tape before using hot melt glue ( low temp)or it will dissolve the foam

We keep hot melt glue guns running to repair our planes when flying indoors. We use hot melt glue on depron foam and blue fanfold foam without dissolving the foam.
Here's one of my aileron servo wires held in place with Blenderm tape. You can barely see the tape. It's the 1/2 inch stuff. I use 1 inch Blenderm on my hinges. |

i have rolls of that tape my mum works at a hospital
 give fibre tape a try it will out run packing tape any day! and sticks for months on end

I just tack the wires on with hot glue every 3-4". It's great stuff, especially for the price (30 sticks for $.99 at Wal-Mart - I can usually build an entire plane with 2 sticks).

Awesome Guys for the Replies. I just tacked the wires with Hot Glue as Stjobs described and it works great. It sure give my Foamy a Cleaner look.

I just bought 100 multi-temp mini glue stcks for $2.99 at Walmart
Hi-temp version also available for same price I guess the h-temp version is more liquid and flows better for use on plastic surfaces and would melt foamies so that's why I use the low temperature gun |
