It flew very well before the facelift(with alot of tweaking of course), so I don't see why it won't fly now. I am going to fit the gear before I lift off. Hopefully have flight pics tomorrow

Now that is Sierra Hotel!! How many Budweiser's does it take to achieve lift off? Is it a plastic kit reworked?

It is the revell 1/48 plastic kit. The mechanics are too big to fit inside the fuse so while eating my turkey and drinking my budweisers I got the idea to wrap the fuse around the mechanics. I basically hack sawed the fuse into thirds, moved the middle section to the rear and cut and sanded the engne nacelles to fit around the mechanics. The battery just fits in the cockpit(have to do a little cutting to make it fit better. I'll attempt flight today.

I hope it does fly because it looks stunning.. and if it does i may scrap my current prject and just get the plastic kit.. HOWEVER i have already tried this and it didn't work, i used a CH53 revell plastic kit body and just the two body halfs themselves were too heavy, it could hover about 3 foot off the ground at full power. the moment i added the engines and a few other necessay details it would not fly!

Have you weighed it yet?

Love it!!!

If it becomes to heavy you can save 20 grams by using a 2s Kokam 350 HD, works fine to me,

First flight was dissapointing. With standard pack only got about 6 inches off the ground. I then tried a 3s pack of kokam 340mah cells. It took off like a rocket. Here are some photos, not too good. I'll post some better ones later. This looks to be very promising. By the way I flew in my garage for about 5 minutes before setting down, with more power to spare. The pack does not quite fit in the canopy. Can anyone tell me if the "circuit board?" on the end of the pack can be removed and the cells just soldered together. This would make a perfect fit in the canopy. As it is now, its too wide on one end, thanks.

It is the revell 1/48 plastic kit. I'm not sure how many hours of work went into it, lets just say 3 days worth and my wife is kinda pissed(but I made up for it). Thanks for all the compliments guys. Hoverup, remember me, I,m the guy that traded with you a while back when I lived in Germany.
