Moments,CG, &other esoteric stuff?
After reading 2 threads on moments in Mod.Sci. and having read about CG's can anyone recommend some sites that reference this kind of thing? Including hi vs. lo-wings & tails, pushers, tractors, simple vs. poly-dihedrals, and ... You get the picture.
I'm a newbie just wanting to slow- and park- fly. I've already come to the conclusion that any design can be made to fly, but still there's my curiosity.
Or should I simply ask naive (read "dumb") questions?

So what's a dumb question?
The only one I know is the one you didn't ask but wished you had as you pick up the sticks, maybe?
I'd like to get a deeper insight on this one. Clearly the board has an enormous collective experience and many 'hairies' must have some words of wisdom on this one.
I'm with you FlyByMike - we'll stand and be 'dumb' together.

Lots of info on airfoils and general aerodynamics here:
An on-line aerodynamics textbook:
A nice list of aerodynamics formulae:
Read some detailed discussions here:
If you really want to understand what's going on with your model (some people do... some don't care) then it's usually a good idea to spend some time reading and doing some math. The links above should be helpful in this regard.

Thanks David, that is exactly what I wanted I do like to know about things.I am a curious kinda guy. I like to read up so my questions aren't totally uninformed.
Stick with me shy-talk, and we'll have it all! mouhahahaha !
Anyway, my plan is to browse all David's links and post questions as I go. (It's gonna take a while to sort through all David's links!)
