Regarding the stabs, I'll defer to Jack on that one.

Sorta like I smack myself on the head with a hammer now and then just because it feels so good when I quit? ..Brian

Thanks Jack.
I went to to Hobby People this AM and got a piece of 17/32 brass tubing. Wish I had been able to work on things this week. Real Life(tm) got in the way. It's been raining here to beat the band. I recorded 2.23 inches this past 24hrs and it's still coming down... I'll get some work on it tomorrow after packing up xmas decorations.

question?
Building when it's damp? Problem?

Best wishes...
Jeff

That and configuring this new desktop replacement. Man it takes a long time to reload everything and get it all back to where the new puter is as comfy as the old one.

Got Flaps?

I know Houston Hawks are supposed to be RES ships, but this one's "full house"! I know what it looks like to land the way we land our moldies, so I have trouble not flaring a model. With this much flap, the ship comes down hard and doesn't build airspeed. At 60 knots, you feel as though you are standing on the rudder pedals! Flare is taking some forward pressure off the stick, instead of actually pulling back...

Jack,

Even in that compression fuzzied first picture I can see that you are grinning ear to ear. Congradulations and please be aware that we are all happily jellous of you now.

Jeff has it right... you don't get in, you put it on! I have help lined up for a weight and balance Saturday AM. I'll fly a two seater (yep, we have 'em!) with an instructor, and get him to sign me off. All of this is weather dependent, of course. She's a real peach...

Jack sent me the full size pic, and from the looks if it, I'm afraid he may need to add a little TAILWEIGHT to get a good balance on that thing!

(Sorry, Jack.....I HAD to do it!)

Seriously, it's a very nice looking plane. This one doesn't have the wing water bladders, does it?
