Nice rig! You seem to be a rather serious racer. I'm looking to try 1/8
next season. What are you running in the dirt? I like hearing about
competitive rigs to help me make a buying decision.

Thanks! I'm not a serious racer and that was my mistake. That car is
so far over my head, it's not funny. I wanted to try onroad nitro, but
one outing and I realized I need to start with a lower performing car or
it's not going to be fun. I'll keep playing around with my TC3 since
that's more in-line for a novice.

I run 1/10 and 1/8 scale buggy. I don't race those, either. My son and
I go to the track a few times a month and "practice" together. I don't
really have the time to get in to racing, and it would take too much of
my attention away from him (He's 5 years old). In a year or two, he
will be good enough to race and THAT will be really neat. It's a really
great hobby that we both enjoy together.

That said, I guess my all-time favorite all-around car is the MBX5.
I've owned a car from just about every category and 1/8 scale buggies
are my top choice. The MBX5 is great out of the box and with a few hop-
ups (Works clutch, ProSpec engine mount and Ackermann), it's darn near
perfect.
