I just purchased the new Hangar 9 P51 Miss America. My impression thus far is that it is simply the Hangar 9 P51 "Marie" model in a new color scheme.

My question is... What should I use for a propeller on this plane? I am powering it with the Saito 1.00 4 cycle. Initially I will probably use a two blade prop, but eventually I want to be using a 4 blade (since they look so damn cool). I have already found sourcing for the two blade and four blade aluminum spinners. But I haven't decided on props yet. I would assume there are quite a few owners of the "Marie" version out there, so anyone experienced with this plane, please tell me what props gave you the best performance.

Hangar 9 P51 Miss America

I am building the Miss America Hangar 9 and am converting it to electric. I am going to use the AXI 413020 on a Thunder Power 10S3P battery pack. I will do a build thread as I go along. Good luck with yours.

saito 100 will feel good on 14X6 4 blade or 15X8 2 blade. and u can modern any 2 blade spinner to 4 blade. I can't see any problem there. u see?

Hangar 9 P51 Miss America

Hi You can't run a 4-Blade with out a reduction gear unit the reduction gear unit only work on gas engine but you can run a 3 blade a general rule for conveting from 2 blades to 3 is decrease diameter by 1 and increase pitch by 1.

I will build the miss america with the 4130/16 axi, 6S2P Irate 2200 and 15*10 E apc...light setup.

The apc 13x10 gives me the best performance for the type of flying I like to do (big maneuvers and fast speeds). The 12x12 gave me the most speed but it lacks in vertical.

Mine is getting a Hacker C50-10L w/6.7:1 gear drive, TP 5s3p, and APC 16x12E

nice flights with mine
axi 4130/16, 5S2P Irate 2200, apc 15*10 and esc hacker 48 opto with ubec.
650W..;not brute power, but enough...10 minutes motor time (~12 min duration flights).
some tendency to nose in on landing (grass.. ), but all is ok

Where did you guy`s Find the C/G with the AXI 4130/16 and Lipos?

A buddy of mine has an OS 91 Four Stroke in his and he uses an APC 13x9, very fast and nice climb, I'd go with that.

Please keep it open here!! From this thread I have learned that if I want to build a plane usually powered by a 1.00 four stroke, then I have at least the following electric options to consider.

4130/16 axi, 6S2P Irate 2200 and 15*10 E apc

Mind you the only thing I understand about this information is the propeller numbers, but a thread like this at least allows me to get my teeth into the apple.
