Looking forward to it... sounds too cool!

@David: There is a PDF file at Jürgens home page with a description of the new schedule. Look under "Ausschreibung".

@Jürgen: I tried the program on the new Aerofly Pro Deluxe simulator and have a question about the sequence.

When starting from left to right on the take off, after completing the two 90 degr.turns and the two 180 degr. turns, the first manouvre would be the reverse 1/2 Cuban eight entered from the right. After almost completing the schedule, the last manouvre would be the one torque roll with entry and exit from right to left. The following, according to the PDF file, would be a 180 degr. turn in order to get on an opposing course as the take off. The way I understand it this 180 degr. turn would bring me on a course in the same direction as the take off.

Where did I get lost? (I presume I will not have to use a reversable pitch prop to be able to turn in one direction and still be able to fly in the opposite direction.

Thanks in advance,
Bert.

@David: The description is in German, but as we will se each other this weekend, we can talk about the new schedule.

@Bert: I was not involved in the selection/sequence of the new figures, but I ran into the same problem as you did.

As the new schedule is brand new, I am sure it will be discussed a lot.

Maybe a hallwide mirror can help in flying backwards?

Jurgen, I have seen the description in the meantime... German is ok, I have a good picture.

BTW, is it THIS weekend (Carvin)? I thought NEXT weekend, but maybe I am wrong as I went down with a bad flu and my head is only 24% working...

In order to keep the number of participants at the German Indoor Championship below a reasonable limit, two qualification events are planned for 2005. There will be one in Northern Germany (tbd - Emsbüren?) and one in Southern Germany (Poing, near Munich, 05.-06.03.2005). The final competition is scheduled to take place in Mannheim, 02.-03.04.2005.

In order to get an idea regarding the amount of potential competitors, please send a short informal message (name, address, chosen program (F3AI-A or F3AI-B)) to the following eMail address: DMIndoor2005@aol.com

Jurgen,

I sent the mail with 6 names from the Czech republic. When you say F3AI-A or -B, do you mean the "old" A + B, or the new rules/schedules?

Thanks,

David

Ok, great. Just wanted to be sure. I guess that I correctly assume that the same is the case at the qualification competitions...

The dates and locations for the German Indoor Aerobatics Championship have been settled.

Due to the high number of competitors last year, you need to qualify in one of the two qualification events:

Poing (near Munich) on 05.- 06.03.2005, or
Burgdorf (near Hanover) on 19.- 20.03.2005

The best pilots will then meet on 02.- 03.04.2005 in Mannheim/Feudenheim.

More details regarding times, accommodation, registration etc. most likely on Monday on my homepage: http://people.freenet.de/slowfly under "Ausschreibung".
