Dave, I can't help noticing that you have an afinity with German warbirds (WW1 & 2). By the way, your builds are excellent & fly great too as usual!

Peanut MO-1 from Linstrum Plans

I've just finished a Peanut sized Martin MO-1 naval observation plane from the early '20's. The plans were in Model Builder August '93 and were by Dave Linstrum. It's a shoulder wing plane and I'm hoping easy to trim. It weighs 9.4 grams without rubber and balances behind the spar so may need some ballast up forward. The plastic prop is already adding some, since it weighs 1.6 grams. I misted pre-shrunk grey tissue with chrome silver Krylon spray paint to cover the fuselage and bottom of the wing and horizontal stab. The top of the wing and stab are pre-shrunk yellow tissue misted with sunshine yellow Krylon. National insignia are ink jet printed on bond paper.

Canard Cadet

This is a canard Guillows Cadet. The CG is about 7 1/2 inches (190mm) from the nose. It is made from recycled parts from the original build, which was my first stick and tissue model, so it is not the best flyer. The power is one loop of rubber with a 6" prop put on backwards.

Skylake Art Chester's Jeep

I really intended this Art Chester’s Jeep from Skylake to be a flyer but when I saw a picture of a full sized replica shown at Oskosh I had to attempt to model it. My construction technique and the paint and graphics were too heavy to allow it to fly. Charlie

Skylake.
I love your Art Chester's jeep. Pity it can't fly.
I have a peanut one by Easy Built, but still NIB.
Must do something about it.
Cheers Paddy.

Hi TT.
I am having a bit of a problem with my balance so have given up on RC and gone back to FF. I have a Replikits "Ajax" which I am just waiting for the better weather to complete and then it's up, up and away.
Sorry for the OT guys.

Hey OP, free flight is great, glad you are still able to enjoy that and the building, which is a lot of fun. I too have chosen to get back to basics, have been busy with a lot of life changes, buying a house, etc. But I have some kits and a big box of balsa, going to do some catapult launch gliders and rubber power, still a thrill to let one go for the first time... this isn't the first reconnection with free flight for me. Always seems to come back to me, or me to it.
