Ha! I screwed up quite a few before I found a technique that works. I glue one short edge to the paper, then fold it back and run the glue stick around the other three edges. Then fold it back and smooth it out. After its printed it will look wet and wrinkled but this will settle out as it drys. I wonder if there are printers with inks that are water proof...then you can shrink it normally...after it's on the airplane. I ruined a good covering job my first time by trying to mist water on a printed tissue wing panel..what a mess!
I just ordered plans for the Zepplin-Lindau sea plane for rubber power from Flying Models magazine. That uses a beautiful blue lozenge scheme. I may have to draw that one out myself.....should take all winter!

Built my first FF in 55 yrs. and it might actually fly! It's from Aero Werkes. 18"ws and 28.9 gms w/o rubber. Printed the lozenge and decals (thanks, Freddy B, for your help).

Wow Dorme, that looks great! After 55 years you sure kept the skills up. Nice! Love the coloring and the markings. Good luck on the maiden.

Thanks, everyone for the kind remarks. I had hoped to fly it this weekend but it was too windy. Still working on test glides.

Hello; thought I would post a picture of my simple asymmetric glider I built.
Hopefully one day to become powered
So what do you think?

Powering it will probably be tricky. Especially rubber - the reactive torque will be impossible to handle with wings like that.

But I would like to be proven wrong
I say give it a try. I've seen even more crazy lookin' models fly.

There is no reason why an asemetric model shouldn't
fly, powered or simple glider. Problems are more
likely in other areas like control for example.

I recently built a no-cal from plans at Paul Bradley's site. I printed the tissue on 8.5 x 11 sheets and pieced together the fuse instead of having to print them on 11 x14 sheets. Changed the colors in adobe Photoshop Essentials.
6 gms weight without prop or rubber at this point. It was an interesting challenge and one I enjoyed as it went together within an evening, but the tissue color changes and printing took twice as long!
