Fantastic covering job! I'm going to have to think about how to cover my Switchback. You've inspired me to try something a little more adventurous. I wonder if anyone's ever tried to print photographs on Solite?

Thanks guys, I put some time into these designs. Started with concepts then color roughs and then finals. I think I have a total of 60-70 hours into the two builds and coverings.

I do have a few ideas for the next project that will utilize digital high end printing on the covering as well as using my old school airbrush work. And yes I am a professional designer, illustrator, thanks.

My G-Ride

Ok, here's my G-Ride.
Himaxx 2015-4100 geared 4.3:1 and APC 9X6
Kokam 3S 1500 mah

AUW? Not really sure... somewhere around 15 oz., I'd guess.

I got it for Christmas and I have since flown it twice (winter weather's pretty rough in western NY). Wow! it flies like a gas model, only longer and quieter!
I'll have another picture or two later, but I have to recharge my camera battery.
I want to show you the stripes on the bottom of the wing; they look really nice and make it quite visible in the air.

I got the camera going. Here's a picture of the bottom of the plane.
Oh yeah, spaceman spiff is in training right now. He needs to be able to withstand high-G maneuvers before he can become an official astronaut.

My simple CAP 232

Here is my favorite flyer.

This is my first covering job so I kept it simple. But it still looks good to me. However, I have learned that I need better contrast top/bottom so that I really know what direction it is pointing.....

RV-4 near completion

This is by far the best model I have built.

My inspiration is the classic Pennzoil Chipmunk

I believe I have allready posted my G-Ride in the first Stevens Aero Apreciation Thread, but since I used the Pennzoil Super Chipmunk for inspiration also, I thought it worth a re-post.
