Mines not in the same class as Beagle's but I did find an SA sticker in the scraps left from my kit. Thought this might be a good reason to use it. Thanks for the bolts Bill.

yeah beagle, that looks real nice. is that solar film or sol-lite? mexico, the colors you have there are nice together but i think its asking for a few pin stripes or something. classic car/ motorcycle style.

examples of pinstripes

hey, there are other old vehicals that have pinstripes but i only looked for motorcycles as an excample. i thought of pinstripes because the color scheme you have seems sorta classic.

i need some help too guys, do you know where some color scheme blanks (pics of a stella layout in black and white w/ just lines for mocking up color schemes) have been posted? ive got a stella and dystraction otw and i need to try out the stella scheme a little before i start, wanted something to sorta flub around with before i cut any covering.

Solite is also available in the US as Nelson's Litefilm http://www.nelsonhobby.com/filmcovering.htm you might find it under other names also, I'm not sure. I just look for the stuff that weighs 0.6 oz per sqyd

the Solite Challenged thread has good info

i wish i had a decent image editing program here at work ;/ or id give you an drawn out example. but ill try and discribe one anyway.

what i was thinking is putting a frame around the lower beige part of the vertical area on the fus. out an outline around the inside of it, a little way (about 1/2"?) from the edge of the brown and the corners, and take it back to a little behind the wing. dont know if im conveying what im imagening but its what ive though of. see how the lines go around the finders, or the sidecar there? sorta like that. may or may not be something you wanna try out. it looks fine like it is though.

thx, beagle!

Maux - I hear what you are saying. I just don't know if I have the energy. Let me fly it without crashing it before I invest time in making it purty.

Isn't there a scheme blank in the manual? Downloadable at SA website?

Here is mine.

Similiar colors to Mex's. Kept it real clean and simple. I like the tailfeathers being all one color as it makes them seem a bit bigger and more pronounced.

Just got back from a great (but cold) flight of it.
2808-24, 10x5 APC-e, 3S2200, pull-push elevator, pull-pull rudder. H55s all around, CC25ESC, GWS Rx (I know, I know, could/should use a higher class Rx). Fly all by myself all the time...never glitches.

Slow rolls are great. Four points are getting better. KEs need a lot of coupling (why God gave us two thumbs) Square loops are harder than I thought they would be. Nothing better than a 300' loop tho
Floats down to a smooth touch down...unpucker my butt and take off for another sortie

Maidened yesterday - Wow. I was beginning to wonder if all those hours of building were actually going to be worth it. Man, I mean the build was great but when you're 'anal' about being straight and true and about the covering and all, it really goes into some hours. Well it was worth it! Big time. What a flier and what a looker. There's no way I could get anywhere near this satisfaction from any ARF. Very very cool.

Thanks Bill, for the kit and your help on the phone.
