Why my P-51D slow on rolling rate?

Hi pilots,
My GWS P-51D had a minor accident on last weekend.
Only some scratch on the wings and a broken prop.

After changing a new prop. I found that the rolling rate
drop tremendously, from about 1 roll per second to 1 roll per
3 seconds, and drop a lot altitude.

The throw of the aileron remain the same but just don't
know what could be wrong.

Can anyone explain this or tell me what to do with this?
Thanks a lot.

I am assuming that when you replaced the Propeller that you replaced it with the same identical size/pitch as that from the one that broke?

Ailerons work with the function of air speed (Prop Pitch) so, you can have lots of deflection at the ailerons but, if you don't have air speed they will be ineffective.

Therefore, I suspect that the new prop pitch maybe different (Less Pitch) than the one you replaced.

Does it roll slow both directions as compared to prior to prop change?
Is it the new prop the same diameter and pitch as the prior prop?
Check and make sure the stick mount didn't change and affect the thrust angle...
check and make sure your CG is the same....
check the motor shaft... if it is bent you won't get the speed therefore reduce the roll rate.
At least that is what I would check first.....for what it's worth.

Moderated. Severely.

Another odd thought.... GENTLY try to hold the aileron as you give it some left/right from the control box. See if you have a stripped/damaged servo. I had one that had a very slight crash, but the super light-weight gws servo had a stripped arm on it. It looked like it was working, but I think the pressure of the wind when flying was enough to effect it. Vs on the ground where it "looked" fine.

Thanks guys.
I replaced exactly the same prop.

I guess may by the air speed is the problem. Because the head part
of the plane is a little bit bended to right hand side, and this may
cause the thrust angle to right.
